Plat1 LLC is a private integrative medical practice in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Julia Wisniewski is the principal physician at Plat1. The practice offers:

  • She graduated from the U of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA with a Major in Bioengineering and Minor in Materials Science. After earning her M.D. at the University of Maryland, she completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Mt Sinai Icahn School of Medicine in New York City, where she was Chief Resident and in the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society.

    Allergy and Immunology fellowship training and NIH funded research was conducted at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA.

    Dr. Wisniewski obtained Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Allergy and Immunology. Her current practice is focused on Allergy and Immunology.

  • Ayurveda is a disclipline that fascinated Dr. Wisniewski since her first visit to a Yoga Ashram in Northern California, in medical school. During her tenure on faculty at the University of Virginia, as Assistent Professor in the Division of Respiratory Medicine, Allergy, and Immunology, she earned Certification as an Ayurvedic Medicine Educator and Practitioner. Her medical expertise is complemented by methods of diet, lifestyle, and supplements from Ayurveda.

  • Julia started teaching yoga in medical school, before she was officially certified to teach yoga. But in 2002, she earned her teacher certification at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram in Val Morin, Canada. Additional yoga training has included studies in Rishikesh and Uttar Pradesh, India as well as with Kim Manfredi in Baltimore, MD.

Dr. Wisniewski is native to Baltimore and returned after completing her medical training. In addition to her love of medicine and yoga, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and extended family: hiking, swimming, and gardening. She values connections with nature and community.

In her free time, she also writes test questions for the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) Continuous Assessment Program (CAP) Test Writing Committee. She has more than 20 years of experience practicing medicine.
